The Hall of Knighthood is a ceremonial chamber located directly below the Pinnacle chamber of Tranquility Spire in the Jedi Temple. It is in this chamber that members of the Jedi Order will formally be granted a new rank on the path of being a Jedi. Located below the Pinnacle chamber and above a private meditation chamber, the Hall of Knighthood is an open room with tall windows and several pillars. The circular pattern in the center of the chamber is reminiscent of the pattern used in the High Council Chamber at the summit of the Tower Spire. Accessed by a turbolift and a staircase that spirals up from the lower levels, the chamber allows those inside to have one of the highest and rarest views of the area surrounding the Temple.
Using no artificial lighting, the chamber will be filled with sunlight during daytime ceremonies, and the glow of the planet at night. The Masters participating in the ceremony will encircle a kneeling Jedi, ignite their lightsabers, and one will proceed to sever the Padawan braid from the new Knight's head.
